Sheetpiling Commences

Sheet piling is scheduled to start on 27 November 2025 and will continue for much of the early works period. The sheet piles provide ground support so the basement can be safely excavated to the required depth.

Before installation, all sheet piles will be predrilled with a deep auger to loosen the soil. They are then installed using a vibrating hammer, which helps drive them into the ground. Nearby properties may feel some vibration during this process, however the high-frequency vibration is very unlikely to cause any damage.

To safeguard neighbouring properties, vibration monitors will be placed along the site boundary, with alarms set to alert the team if vibration levels exceed the allowable limits (5mm/sec).
