Dust Suppression
During excavation works, there will inevitably be some sand and dust disturbance. However, the contractors are using best endeavours to mitigate any spread. These measures include:
Wrapping exposed sand batters with geotextile fabric to contain material and prevent erosion.
Operating integrated sprinkler systems to continuously wet down the sand.
Installing rumble grids at the site’s access point to dislodge sand from trucks as they exit.
Rolling out exposed sand working platforms with compacted gravel once desired levels are reached, further helping to contain sand movement.
The Builder is also regularly monitoring the collection of sand on local streets and will ensure frequent street sweeping to remove any build-up.
During the Christmas shutdown period, a more substantial sprinkler system will be installed and managed via a time-controlled system, with the ability for remote activation if required.
We would like to thank local community for their patience and understanding during this initial earthwork phase of the project.
